Spring is here in Georgia. That means pollen. Not having grown up here in this lovely state, I am not used to all this pollen. I have had a lingering cough as a result too. I wonder if the school system has built in pollen days, kinda like how in NY they have built in snow days. If they don’t, I think they should. I mean it is a driving hazard if you aren’t used to driving in pollen.

another shot that Mrs. Adams said I had to pay a fee to take a picture of. She is 82, you don’t argue with an 82 year old, you just pay the fee and say thank you.

I was given permission to shoot this photograph after a small fee from the lady who owned the shop Mrs. Adams. She is in her 80’s, and her husband and her will be married for 52 years in January. She has a ton of wisdom, and I really really enjoyed my conversation with her. I asked if I could take her picture, but she quickly refused and said “you can only take pictures outside, I don’t let anyone take my photograph.” This is also my first attempt at HDR photography, or High Dynamic Range.

I came across this scene while hiking around Unicoi Lake the other day. It is a very beautiful easy hike around the lake. Unfortunately for me, the leaves were just past the peak of color change, but these two trees seemed to be a little bit stubborn with nature which equated to an amazing site and photograph. I really lucked out with this one.

Took this beauty up in the North Georgia Mountains right beside Unicoi Lake. I love the colors and simplicity of this photograph.

I stumbled across this photograph while driving in Honduras. This photograph really reminds me how well off I actually have it. While I was sitting in an air conditioned car, they were walking because they probably didn’t own a car, and between the four of them were sharing one umbrella to hide them from the sun’s heat. Whenever I feel like I have it bad, I just have to look at some of my Honduras pictures to remind myself that life isn’t too shabby. Taken on my 35mm Canon AE-1
