Spring is here in Georgia.  That means pollen.  Not having grown up here in this lovely state, I am not used to all this pollen.  I have had a lingering cough as a result too.  I wonder if the school system has built in pollen days, kinda like how in NY they have built in snow days.  If they don’t, I think they should.  I mean it is a driving hazard if you aren’t used to driving in pollen.

I came across this scene while hiking around Unicoi Lake the other day. It is a very beautiful easy hike around the lake.  Unfortunately for me, the leaves were just past the peak of color change, but these two trees seemed to be a little bit stubborn with nature which equated to an amazing site and photograph.  I really lucked out with this one.

Took this beauty up in the North Georgia Mountains right beside Unicoi Lake.  I love the colors and simplicity of this photograph.

Another shot of the stream on the short hike to Anna Ruby Falls in north GA.  If you are ever in Helen, GA you must make the short trip to Anna Ruby Falls.  The hike is really short, paved and not hard at all.  Plus the view is more than worth your time and effort.  Beautiful!

I was riding shotgun on this side road in Colorado the day after a fresh snow when I looked to my right and saw this site.  I told my friend Mark to stop, and I took this little beauty.  Probably my favorite picture from the Colorado trip.  Colorado is just so beautiful, it is almost impossible to take a bad photograph. Taking good photographs are always easier when what you are shooting is so gorgeous.

I took this photograph early last Wednesday morning.  I took the morning off, went up to north Georgia to go hiking and take photographs.  The color of the leaves were perfect, I was really glad I decided to go that day.  If I had waited too much longer, the leaves wouldn’t have been the color they were.  If anyone is up in north Georgia, they definitely need to make a trip to Anna Ruby Falls, you won’t regret it.  Beautiful!

While I was in Colorado last year to go snowboarding at Keystone with some buddies of mine, I dislocated my shoulder at the end of my first day.  So since I couldn’t snowboard anymore, I instead went out and took some photographs.  It was a beautiful day, and it had just snowed.  I really lucked out.  At least my whole trip wasn’t a wash.  I may not have gotten to go snowboarding as much as I wanted, but I did get some good photographs.
